How Do You Start Your Day?
By Leigh Hunt • Category: General Twitter, Health & Fitness, Lifestyle, Work/Life BalanceWhat you do in the first few seconds, minutes, and hours of waking up in the morning can have a huge impact on the rest of your day.
Make the first thing you do something that will leave you feeling energized and ready for a fulfilling day.
Spend at least half an hour engaging in some kind of activity that will get your blood flowing. Do some yoga, go for a run, have a swim or even just dance like a mad fool around your bedroom. Whatever you enjoy.
I guarantee you’ll increase your productivity no end. A fit body equals a fit mind.
Here’s what I do to start my day:
p.s. I’m not a turtle, I’m the one swimming in the background with my legs in the air! ![]()

I’ve already told you how envious I am of this! I think I am more of the ‘dancing around like a fool’ kinda gal - but I aim to upgrade soon!
On a serious note - I totally agree with you. I find I get far more done after a brisk walk in the mornings than the odd days where I don’t go out first thing. I tend to procrastinate far more when I’ve been innactive for too long!
Great advice.
I begin my day with a bike ride, then meditate.
Then I sing in the shower, which KIND of gets my blood flowing!
Exercise definitely helps the mind.
OK, now I’m very jealous!
The best I can do in the mornings is charge around the nearest field with my labrador dog. It get’s the blood and endorphins flowing and allows me a bit of head space to organise the day ahead.
Not on a par with swimming with turtles though. Enjoy.
nice post…:)
I practice yoga and exercise daily…It makes me fresh and productive for the whole day..
